Upgrading RAM in HP ProLiant ML150 gen6
We tried upgrading from 16gb ram to 24gb in our server, but it appears that it’s a "Invalid memory configuration".
Currently, we have the following RAM in use:
BankLabel Capacity DeviceLocator Manufacturer PartNumber
BANK0 4294967296 CPU 1 DIMM 2 Nanya NT4GC72B8PG0NF-CG
BANK1 4294967296 CPU 1 DIMM 1 Nanya NT4GC72B8PG0NF-CG
BANK2 2147483648 CPU 1 DIMM 4 Samsung M391B5673EH1-CH9
BANK3 2147483648 CPU 1 DIMM 3 Micron 18JSF25672AY-1G4D1
BANK4 2147483648 CPU 1 DIMM 6 Micron 18JSF25672AZ-1G4F1
BANK5 2147483648 CPU 1 DIMM 5 Micron 18JSF25672AZ-1G4F1 1C515DE1
And we replaced them all with 6x:
4Gb 2Rx4 PC3-10500R-9-10-J0 ( attached image is of this new ram )
We only have on processor in, but from what we read in the manuals, it should work.
But apparently it fails to work properly. Bios claims theres only 8gb ram, and windows server uses 8gb ram while 16gb is "hardware reserved".
Anyone has information as to how we should proceed to get the new ram to work ?
