UPS R600 communication problem

UPS R600 communication problem

I am unable to establish the connection with my R6000 UPS. Should I initialize or enable the communication port on the UPS before I try to communicate with it? The CPM v1.8 says "Communication failure with UPS". I tried on all com port on other servers etc. with the same result.
