Usage of Smart Array 532 Controller on Proliant DL380
Is it possible to use a Smart Array 532 Controller on an HP Proliant DL380 (G1/G2) server? Thanks!

G2 - yes
G1 - no
Server must have 3.3 volt PCI slot(s) to support the SA-532 Controller.
regards,
Andrzej

Re: Usage of Smart Array 532 Controller on Proliant DL380
Thanks. I do not know whether my server is a Proliant DL380 G1 or G2 series though. The display in the front says "Proliant DL380" and the exact model name is DL380R01. I tried looking for other identification but that's the only thing that I see.

R01 mean that you have G1 server (in all cases).
DL380G1 is 4U server (4 internal disks max - without additional cage)
DL380G2 is 2U server (6 internal disks max)
regards,
Andrzej
