Re: Virtualisation / 64bit
It should be enabled if using Hyper-V or ESXi. Guest OS support is a function of the hypervisor, but in short, yes both variants will run fine.

Re: Virtualisation / 64bit
I was told this server is 64bit compatable - what is the easiest way to confirm that this is true - would i contact HP directly and give them the serial number - it has a full warranty on it still. ?

Hello
You will be able to run 32-bit virtual machines on 64-bit hardware.
All DL380 G5 models are 64-bit capable.
