Voltage Regulator Module

I have an 1850R with a single 450 CPU. I want to upgrade to dual, and I have another VRM module that is exactly the same except for the part number. I can't seem to find any difference listed on your web site, so I'm asking here. The module in there is P/N 32756-001 and I have a 299307-001 which looks identical, but from the little information I've seen on your site, the second one is for 5 volt bus memory? It appears to have come from a Proliant 3000. Can I use this module in my 1850R?

Re: Voltage Regulator Module

It is not recommended due to the PPM's for the Proliant Servers are specific for the wattage DC intake. The PPM for part#299307-001 is specific for variable 5 or 12 volt intake 40 wattage. The PPM for part#327660-001 is a Rev 1 5v and the PPM has insulator. The wattage intake will be different.
