Windows 7 on DL380p Gen8

Hi,

I am trying to install Windos 7 on a DL380p Gen8 system, but the installation fails.

Probably it is missing neccesary installation drivers.

I tried to install from within WinPE and DVD.

When I start setup:

Windows files are copied succesfully

Expanding Windows files OK

Installing features OK

Installing updates OK

Completing installation:  The installation was cancelled. Any changes that were made to your computer dunring the installation proces will not be saved.

A window appears: Windows installation cannot continue because a required driver could not be installed.

I have a few questions:

Is it possible to run Windows 7 on this system?

If so, what drivers do I need to complete the installation?

Windows 8 seems to install ok though.

Hi,

Windows 7 will not install on a server, its not compatible.

http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx

Windows 8 may get installed because its a new OS, with new drivers and hardware compatibility.

But still these are not compatible on ProLiant Servers.
