Solutionif the two servers are similar, just swapp all the hdd from the first server to the second one, at boot time you will receive a warning: "configuration mismathc". at this point, enter in express tools with CTRL-M, go to configure >>> View/Add/Delete Configuration
you will be prompted for choise: View Disk or View NVRAM configuration,
you have to select Disk configuration, you will see displayed the config, if ok, exit and SAVE this config.
thats all
bye

Re: Backup LH3 server
Drives A in system B it's ok, but
Drives B in system A, I don't get the message
View Disk or NVRAM. In this set of disks,
there's one disk that is bigger but formatted
to the same size as the other two.
In what case the option "View Disk or NVRAM"
should appear ?
Thanks

Re: Backup LH3 server
The NetRAID array config is stored in two places:
1. scratch pad in NVRAM on the controller
2. scratch pad on the hard disks.
The "NVRAM/disk configuration mismatch" error means there is a discrepancy between the scratch pad on the controller and the scratch pad stored on the disks.
When you get this error, press Control M to enter NetRAID express tools.
From the main menu, go to:
Configure > View/Add/Delete configuration
Then, to resolve the mismatch, you need to view both the NVRAM and the Disk config and exit each view WITHOUT SAVING.
Decide which config is correct, and then view the correct config a second time, but save it this time when exiting the view.
This is the only circumstance in which you would see a choice between viewing the NVRAM config & the Disk Config.
If you didn't see the "NVRAM/Disk config mismatch" error, you won't get the choice.
Did you get a different error during POST when using Drives B in System A?

Re: Backup LH3 server
Alicia explain well the process,
praticaly if you didn't have a mismatch, both config are matching.
to avoid problem, you could clear the config on the server before inserting the hdd, in that way you will always have a mismatch when inserting the new hdd with a config on it
