BIOS
I was sold a Proliant 5500 via ebay. I must adjust the SMP function on it, but no SmartStart CD was included. I must purchase the cd for $22 one the web site? Seems a little excessive, as most computers use the 'delete' key.

you can download the System configuration utility form the HP website.
you can do a google search on it; here is the files Sp19619.exe (this is the bios for the server on a bootable floppyies
you can download and run the whole compaq support paq for the servers from this link:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/18416.html
You don't really need a smart start Cd all the utilities are on the HP website and you can always do manual install of the o/s if you need to reinstall.
