Bootable USB issues

One of our departments has purchased a number of Proliant DL145 servers for their projects and will purchase several more in the next few years. We've been looking into bootable USB flash memory sticks for OS loads, but cannot get the memory sticks we have (Both HP and Kingston DataTraveller Elite 2 GB) to boot on the DL145s. I have the latest BIOS set up on the Dl145, and the drive is recognized using traditional boots, but I cannot boot using the flash memory. HP's USB support page was nice but has no info on 100 series servers.

Any help? I'd be happy to provide more info as needed.
