Cannot get CD to boot

I have a Netserver LH II system

The SCSI CD Rom drive that was supplied with the server no longer works and I had to replace it with an IDE ATAPI cd rom drive. Unfortunately, when I boot up the server, I cannot boot up any CDs either. I am trying to install Red Hat Linux 8 on my system under the CD boot disks.

How can I do this? Is there a way to get to the bios? Why doesn't HP have a Fx key so we can get to this easier?

Also, I cannot boot up on the HP Navigator disk. Under Win 2000, I look at the CD and don't see any programs on the root to run. They all look like DOS extended applications.

Re: Cannot get CD to boot

The "BIOS" on this system is actually called the ECU, or EISA Configuration Utility. This is how things were before the onboard BIOS was created. You should be able to make the CD bootable through the ECU. You can find everything you need for the LHII here:
