Compaq T1500 UPS
I would like to monitor this UPS with PowerChute plus software, which allows for remote monitoring. How do I configure PowerChute plus to best recognize this UPS? With "Simple Signaling" I can't test the UPS and I don't see battery conditions. With "Smart Signaling" I get blank controls which might indicate that I don't have the correct serial cable from the UPS to the PC.
Thanks,
Rick
Thanks,
Rick

Re: Compaq T1500 UPS
Rick,
PowerChute is an APC product, as is the smart signaling protocol, you should be able to download Compaq Power Manager (CPM v1.8) which will work with Compaq Insight Manager. When properly installed, you can use a browser to monitor a serially connected UPS. Additional servers can be shutdown by installing CPM and specifing the IP address of the server that has the serially connected UPS, you can also browse to those servers. LANSafe III should also be available from Compaq, but I've never used it.

Re: Compaq T1500 UPS
I'm not sure about the T1500, but the T2400 is a Deltec product, which I don't think is compatible with APC PowerChute SOftware. For the Deltec products I have been using LanSafeIII, but so far only for the PRA2200i.
I am trying to find information on the T2400 with very little success. I am trying to find the pinouts for the serial cable so I can make one, and what software to use for them.

To fix, or not to fix.......
