Can someone tell me the exact specs, FCPGA,FCPGA2 or Slot 1, on the 1Ghz Intel PIII CPU which will run in the second CPU slot ? Hopeless to buy HPs own due to the price...want standard Intel.
The impossible only takes more time!

Hello Martin,
The HP parts database, http://partsurfer.hp.com , describes our 1 GHz PIII upgrade (p/n P2597A) as:
"Coppermine, 133MHz FSB, 256K L2 cache, socket 370." (The term "coppermine" refers to Intel processors that are built using the .18 micron production process.) So, according to the processor chart at http://developer.intel.com/design/PentiumIII/prodbref/index.htm , the approprate specification is FC-PGA Socket 370.
Hope this helps.
