DL 360 Embedded Smart array 5i (rolling mirrored disks upgrade)

Hello,
Our exchange server 2003 configuration is a DL 360 with 2 x 18.2gb drives (system drives/hardware mirrored) attached to an RA4100 array (containing stores and logs). I am wondering if I pull one of the 18.2 gb drives and add a 36.4 gb drive let it rebuild. Then pull the other drive and install another 36.4 gb drive. Then use diskpart in Windows 2003 to extend the drive size? Will this work on the Smart Array embedded 5i? I have successfully completed this task in the past using the Smart Array 5300 series on our ftp server (data drives) however this upgrade certainly requires kids gloves!
