DL380 G2: can I reinstall ACU, ADU without issues?
DL380G2, Win2000 SP3, ACU 7.60.18.0
I recently had an infection and have cleaned it up, mostly. The remaining issue involves Windows File Protection - it cannot be enabled. Fruther research tells me that the Windows catalog database for these files needs to be rebuilt. MS wants me to pay for this support and I refuse. I can reinstall the OS but prefer not to as everything else works fine except...
ACU: When executing it I get a popup error window: 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem, The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction CS:056e IP:02c4 OP:63 00 72 00 69. Choose 'Close' to terminate teh application.
ADU: When executing it a DOS window pops up and closes immediately without any text or anything else displayed. Executing it in an open DOS window gives: Program too big to fit in memory.
Any help appreciated.
Can I simply reinstall these utilities off the CD without issues?

Yes you can simply re-install these, but i recommend downloading the latest support pack for your server and installing/upgrading the entire software set.
