Insight Event Notifier Service won't start

Hello, I need to fire up the event notifier service on one of my servers. For some reason it was disabled so I enabled it and tried to start it. When I try to start it, I get the following error. "Windows could not start the hp insight event notifier on local computer. For more info, review the system event log."
If I check the system event log, I see the following error: "The HP Insight Event Notifier service terminated with service specific error 1 (0x1)." Could someone please shed some light on why this service won't start? Thank you.

Exactly same issue today. W2k8 Enterprise SP1.

Made sure to re-install the latest Insdight Management Agents, but problem remains.

This just happened to me today.

Navigate to %systemroot%\system32\CIMntfy\
Right click on lwconfig.exe and run as Administrator.

Configure with a valid smtp server.
