LC2000 drives
Has anyone seen an inordinate number of drive failures with the LC2000? We ordered a few and to date 4 of the 6 3X36G raid arrays have had a least one drive fail. (By fail we mean flashing red. The drive can be restarted and runs okay for a few days.)
I am NOT a drive expert so sorry for the lack of clarity!

Re: LC2000 drives
Peter,
Are there any media errors on the drives?
(select properties from netraid assistant or netraid express tools).

Re: LC2000 drives
Two things to look at in this. First, The drives may need updated firmware, or the controller. Second, if you are running an U3 NetRaid controller with U3 drives, you should using a twisted pair cable. This is a cable that looks braided, not the flat standard SCSI ribbon cable. HP will exchange the cable.
