ML530 Server - Message 1794

My server shut down last nite. ( On its own )
When I reboot it this afternoon, I got this message.

Slot 7 CXompaq smart array 5300 controller ( rev a, v1.76) 2 logical drives )
1794 - Slot 7 Drive Array - Array Accelerator Battery charge low
Array accelerator is temporarily disabled.
Array accelerator will reenable when batteries reach full charge

press F8 to run opyion rom config for array utilities
Press esc to skip configuration and continue

The server is now running, how serious a problem do I have. Will it run until I get some technical support on Monday????

Hi,

I think, the controller has only disabled it's write back cache and is running in write through mode until battery is sufficiently charged again. It should not be a problem until monday.

If I miss something, please correct me,

consensus. I have a battery coming on Monday.
