Re: Net server lh 6000
Hi,
When you said you rebuilt the data, did you try doing it on the failed drive, or did you put in a replacement drive?
If you tried on the failed drive, I would try replacing it and try the rebuild on the new drive.
If you tried rebuilding on a new drive, then your array parity may be degraded. Have you ever done consistency checks? If the array has been up and running for a long time without consistency checks, eventually you will get to the point where your parity data is corrupted to the point where rebuilds will not be possible.
If you have installed a new drive, and the rebuild will not work, you only option may be to backup your data, reconfigure your array, and then restore the data.

Re: Net server lh 6000
Dear Sir
First I wish to thank, I will tried in new drive also, I already done it consistency checks also. in my server auto cad 2000 is running, user is working in round the clock so we can't able to reconfigure the array. Please give the some other suggestion
thanks

Re: Net server lh 6000
Hi,
Well, if you have already tried the new drive and have done the consistency check and the drive STILL won't rebuild, you don't have many options left.
You can either keep running the server in a degraded state and hope no more hard drives fail, OR you can schedule a down time, reconfigure the array and restore from backup.
