painfully slow booting win2k server E 800
Why the E 800 server takes painfully lot of time in preparing network connections and loading personal settings while booting the Windows 2000 server with SP1?It has MS SQL server 7.0,Mdaemon 2.7 and Nmorton antivirus loaded

Are you running the latest drivers on the system? Check to make sure you are using the correct NIC drvier. You can get HP's drivers from here:

I concur wuth Theo. I had similar problems with an e60. After updating the NIC drivers (from Microsoft's Windows Update) my boot time decreased about thirty seconds.
