Printing
I am having problems with the hppi tool in HP-UX 11.0 can't get first printer installed. I keep getting "lp: can't open default destination file". What is the most intuitive and straight command by command document on installing printers in an HP environment?
It's better to burn out than fade away!

Re: Printing
Bill,
Check the permissions of /var/spool/lp/default should be 644
And for your second question use
# sam
Removed obsolete JetDirect software (/usr/lib/admin/hpnpcfg) and added support for the new HP JetDirect Printer Installer (/opt/hpnpl/admin/hppi) software. You can now use SAM to configure a network printer using the new HP JetDirect Printer Installer. SAM still supports the HP JetAdmin Software(/opt/hpnp/admin/jetadmin).
Hope it helps,
Robert-Jan.
