Re: Proliant 6000 & error initializing video
maybe it's too late but deactivate the internal video with the dip switches and put an external video card in.
BTW:
If you have a Proliant 6000 you can help me!?
After booting my 6000 the keyboprad is no longer present (also the mouse). do you have any ideas?
Regards
Henning

Re: Proliant 6000 & error initializing video
I have also tried removing memory, re-seating all cards, moving the raid controller from slot 11 to 10, resetting/disabling the LPT port, with no luck. The server worked fine with NT. This problem has been since I did a clean install of W2003 server.

Re: Proliant 6000 & error initializing video
Set the dip switch on the "Standard I/O Board" from internal battery to external (you'll get an error message, but disregard it). Than power on the server. If it helps, the backup battery is fault (this can cause several strange errors, I got some experience with it).

Re: Proliant 6000 & error initializing video
My appologies to Robby for adding to his post. I thought we might both share the same issue and I could lend some light to it.
Anyway I had loaded the latest BIOS prior to the upgrade, so this is not the issue. I have diabled the internal battery. I have to wait to reboot and will let you know what the outcome is.
