SCSI Event Viewer Error
I have a Netserver E800 running Windows 2000.
Periodically, I receive the following error in the event viewer:
The device, \Device\Scsi\mraid35x1, did not respond within the timeout period.
The HD seems to be OK otherwise. Does anyone know what may be causing this error.

Re: SCSI Event Viewer Error
Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, I could not find a single bit of data on the error message you specified. I did, however, find quite a bit of updates available, depending on the drive you have installed. Can you provide more details on the specific drive? (part number?)
I am assuming this is the only symptom you see... and it's working just fine nonetheless...
Thanks!
Rex

Re: SCSI Event Viewer Error
Hello Mike,
It sounds like you're getting an event 9 error? I found a Microsoft kb that might help you.

Re: SCSI Event Viewer Error
Hello,
I would like to have more info about your system.
Is there a Netraid controleur installed and if yes what is the model of this raid adapter.
Did you install W2K with the HP netserver navigator.
If there is a Netraid adapter other than Netraid 4M, Netraid 1M or Netraid 2M the revision of the Driver mraid35x.sys should be Version 2.66.
I case of the netraid adapter is a Netraid 4M, Netriad 1M, Netraid 2M or no Netraid adapter in your system, just remove the driver mraid35x.sys.
If the netraid adapter is a Netraid 1M or netraid 2M, the dirver you have to use is MRAID2K.SYS version 5.20.
For the netriad 4M the drivers are:
HPNCOMM.SYS 2.4.1.4605 1.89KB
HPNDISK.SYS 2.4.1.4605 1.89KB
HPNSCSI.SYS 2.4.1.4605 68.2KB
HPN.SYS 2.4.1.4605 25.2KB
HPNPORT.SYS 2.4.1.4605 1.89KB .
I Hope this will help.
