HP 5130 - how do I change the password for the admin user
We have an HP5130 switch and tried to login to the web interface with:
Username: admin
Password: as previously setup
Verify code: as per that on the page
This would not allow us to login.
We have access via a serial connection and the below commands were run:
1/ system-view - to change to system view.
2/ local-user admin - I believe to switch to that user.
3/ password simple newpassword - to set the new password as a plain text password.
4/ service-type https - to specify the service type
5/ authorization-attribute user-role network-operator
This does not appear to change the password, we had to follow this to create a new user, which allows us to login to the web interface as required.
I have not been able to find after much searching how to change the password for the user 'admin'.
If you are able to advise that would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Daniel
