DL360 Gen10 PCIE Slot 3 not PCIE Compatible?
We have a problem with DL360 Gen10 PCIE Slot 3. Most PCIE cards do not work in Slot 3 using the LP raiser (tried two of them), althought the same PCIE card works in PCIE slots 1 and 2 of the same server and also works in PCIE slot 3 of DL360 Gen9. We have tested 4 different types of PCIE cards (Moxa serial, etc.). ILO/AHS simply report PCIE slot empty when used in slot 3.
Only HPE cards seem to work in PCIE slot 3. We have tested P408i-p and that one works.
In the DL360 Gen10 Quickspecs HPE claims that all three PCIE slots are PCIE 3.0 compatible. No differences between the slots are stated except that the slot 3 requires a second CPU which is present here. Why does PCIE slot 3 seem to recognize only HPE cards without that fact being mentioned in the quickspecs?
Another difference seems to be that in BIOS there are some settings for PCIE slots 1 and 2 available, but no settings for PCIE slot 3.
