CIM is listing Servers as "other
After upgrading to CIM SP2 and performing an automatic discovery, CIM SP2 has 20 of my servers listed as "other". On each of these servers the Product Name section has the following listed: (Unknown SNMP Device) The agents are installed/started on these servers. How can I edit the Product Name to say for example ProLiant DL 580.
Does the fact that it says (Unknown SNMP device) making CIM automatically tag it as "other"
Any assistance is very much appreciated

Re: CIM is listing Servers as "other
Well I had this too. What I did to fix my problem was, to manualy edit these devices. You will find that SNMP, and maybe other protocols too, are not checked. Check the snmp box and then apply changes.
I found that after doing the above it helped if I also restarted the agents too and run the daily device identification task and snmp status polling.
Good Luck

Re: CIM is listing Servers as "other
So I have the same problem, even teh statusis unknown of 2 devices! They used to work, but after a network problem they both did not come up anymore.
So when I chekc I see SNMP also no selected. But when I apply SNMP and look again, snmp is not checked again? Any suggestions for this?
