CIM32 alarms and paging

Using CIM32, I have all servers and all alarms selected within Pager Destination Setup and the servers themselves correctly display any and all errors and events but the only alarms that are enter the Alarm Log and forwarded to the pager are the Device Inaccessibility / Accessibly alarms.

Has anyone here experienced this before?

This also occurs on our system. We also see some alerts on tape drives. I believe there is a way to configure this, but also have not figured it out. However, the alerts are going out, just not showing up in the logs.

Do you have a notification task set up when the alarm criteria is met?

Re: CIM32 alarms and paging

Notification tasks I thought were only a part of CIM7, I'm using CIM32 for paging and accessibility alarms.

Within a Pager Destination Setup box, I???ve got all selected devices (servers) and all alarms selected but still the only alarms that get entered into the Alarm log are inaccessibility / accessibility alarms even though when I perform a test by pulling one of the PSUs on a test server, the device shows the error in the Device window but not in the alarm log and so doesn???t get sent to the pager.

Does CIM32 only generate alarms for accessibility and not anything else?

It's OK now. I had a simple trap destination issue and also had an issue using the shared Winsnmp which necessitated not using it at all.
