Community String Disappearing
CIM 5.30 on my PC
Compaq Management agents 6.20 on the servers
I have a number of servers running Win2K, when I add the SNMP community string as public Read/Write I can manage the server in Insight on my PC yet when the servers are logged off and then back on again the servers become Inaccessable within CIM. When I look at the community string again it has gone, I have found the registry entry for this and it also disappears !!!!! this only happens if the server is logged off and back on again !!.If the server is logged off CIM sees it without any problems but as soon as it is logged back on...bang...Inaccessable. I have tried different hints found on this forum but I still get the same problem. I have 20 servers that this does not happen on and 4 that it does. The only thing common I can find is that the servers loosing the config are running CM 6.20.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Darren
