Control over services and application
Can I use IM7 to control and monitor services and/or applications on a server. I will use this to measure uptime on services and applications and how do I configure this ?

Re: Control over services and application
The Insight agents have an ability to send an event to IM7 (or its replacement, HP SIM) when selected services stop or start. There is no method to attempt to monitor availability based on (for example) a user's ability to connect to Exchange. That's quite a bit beyond the scope of Insight Manager.
