Re: e-mail alert forwarding to Lotus Notes
This is most likely a default MAPI setting in the registry.
If you are up to it, you can change this in the System Registry.
NOTE: THIS IS FOR ADVANCED (OR BRAVE) USERS, NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED, AND NOT A METHOD NECESSARILY SUPPORTED NOR NECESSARILY CONDONED BY COMPAQ.
From the Start Button, choose Run, and start "regedit".
On the left, there is an NT Explorer-like tree list. You can expand and contract parts of the tree by clicking on the + and - icons.
Expand the tree in the following manner:
expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
expand Software
expand Clients
expand Mail
You'll probably see one or more items underneath Mail. One of those will be Microsoft Outlook (or similar), another should refer to Lotus Notes.
Click once on "Mail" on the left --> on the right, there is an entry with the string "(Default)". This string tells the system which one of the Mail clients to use when in doubt. Yours probably has the string "Microsoft Outlook", or similar.
Double click on "(Default)" to open an edit box.
Change the Value data string to the one related to Lotus Notes (the one you see on the left side).
Now close the Registry Editor, restart CIM, and check the global e-mail settings to see if it picks up the change.
Good luck.

Re: e-mail alert forwarding to Lotus Notes
I didi find an interesting statement when I did a search for "default MAPI" in the Lotus Knowledgebase:
"To use the Lotus Notes MAPI Service Providers with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office products, install Microsoft Exchange before installing Lotus Notes. If you installed Notes before installing Exchange, you must re-install Notes to enable Lotus Notes Mail as an information service option when you create a MAPI profile."
Hope this helps.

Re: e-mail alert forwarding to Lotus Notes
You need to setup the notes client, start it up and login as a notes user on your CIM station before the system can send messages to notes mail users.
Get your notes admin to create a notes id for your CIM work station which doesn't need a password, that way you can logon automatically.
Good luck, Markus
