IM7 - Email reports?

Has anyone set up their IM7 installation so that it will e-mail any of the various reports on a specific schedule? For instance, I would like to send the "Logical Disk" report to our operations group every morning so they can take a look at the percentage of disk space being used on our various servers.

If anyone has done this, can you let me know?

TIA,

Jeff

Re: IM7 - Email reports?

To my knowledge, there's still no way to do this, although the capability would certainly be helpful.

Re: IM7 - Email reports?

But you can always connect via an ODBC application and extract the information from the IM7 db. Maybe you can schedule this so it can be mailed to your operatiins group.
Take a look of what SQL statements the Disk report is made off and try to find a SQL/Access developper to do the same for you.

Re: IM7 - Email reports?

Yes, Jeff. However, it must be done behind the scenes using SQL. I currently have a webpage (using Cold Fusion) that runs queries against the IM database every morning and emails Disk Reports to my Techs in each office.

Works Great.

Re: IM7 - Email reports?

I retain a draft email in my drafts folder in Outlook. The mail is pre formed and contains an excel spreadsheet ole object. The spreadsheet is set up to use an ODBC datasource and a query which I have saved for the purpose.

Every Monday morning I COPY the mail and then refresh the data in the spreadsheet and send it.
Takes a matter of seconds : - )))

Hope this helps
