Re: Performance Management Pack 3.1 & Windows server 2003 SP1
ALSO HAVE PMP PROBLEMS WITH 2003 SERVER SP1.
HAVE AN OLDER ML530 DEDICATED TO HP SIM WHICH WORKED WITH ALL PLUGINS (VCR, PMP, VPM, & HPCMS VIA ALTIRIS CONNECTER) BUT TOILED UNDER MARGINAL HW SPECS. UPGRADED PROCESSOR/MEMORY AND MADE COMPLETE FRESH INSTALL OF 2003 SERVER, THIS TIME WITH SP1, HP SIM 4.2 SP2, PSP 7.20A, & PMP 3.1.1. THE HP SIM NOW DISCOVERS ALL SERVERS AND CLIENTS (HARDWARE AND VCR STATUS ARE GREEN) BUT PMP REPORTS "NO RECORDS FOUND". REINSTALL OF PMP, HP SIM, AND UPGRADE TO 7.30 AGENTS DID NOT HELP, PMP WILL NOT SHOW SERVER LIST (ALL DEVICES). THE ALTIRIS FORUMS SHOW THAT ALSO HPCMS INSTALLATION CRASHES WITH 2003 SERVER SP1 ("INVALID USER NAME" DURING INSTALL OF NOTIFICATION SERVER). WE ARE ALSO WAITING FOR A VPM THAT WILL ACCEPT SPECIAL CHARACTER PASSWORDS USED ON 2003 SERVERS. HOPE THAT THERE WILL NOT BE SO MUCH HP "FALL OUT" IN THE FUTURE EACH TIME MICROSOFT RELEASES A NEW SP!

Re: Performance Management Pack 3.1 & Windows server 2003 SP1
PMP 3.1 does not support Windows 2003 SP1. We are upgrading PMP to fix this issue. PMP 3.2 is being planned to be release to the PMP web site by mid of May.
Currently the only way to monitor the servers running Windows 2003 SP1 is to uninstall SP1.
