Secheduled Task - Software/Firmware Update

I am attempting to create a scheduled task (Update Software and Firmware) on a server using Insight Manager v 7sp2.3.

However, I receive a Major Event.
On the server containing IM7 - Cannot update local IM7 device
On all other servers - Version Control agent is not available.

All Trust relationships are set up, and all servers have the Version Control agent repository configured correctly.

Is there anything I have missed out. Any help will be very appreciated.

You can't update the IM7 server itself, so that is a valid response.

It's hard to say what the "VCA is not available" means. It could just mean unresponsive or means it doesn't think it's there or it may not believe it to be trusted.

In troubleshooting, try to run Daily Device Identification manually and then check to see if you can click a server's SW icon to launch the VCA. If it makes you login, there is no trust.

The IM Server cannot update itself using a Configuration Task, you need to do its VCA or using the RDU.
