what determins the trap version?

Hello all, I have cim 7 setup monitoring 2000+ servers I seem to be getting different version for various traps (power supply ver2, power supply ver3). My question is what determines the version of the trap that is being sent out? Is it the MIB's on the CIM server or something on the client. If its a file on the client where can I find this file? How can I determine which version of the trap a agent will be sending?

Hello -


It depends on the Management agent version that you are running. Older agents will generate v1 or v2. It all depends on the agent that you have installed on the client machine. IM7 just processes it based on that.

I understand that but where can I determine which version of the agent the server will be sending to CIM7?
