html5 console how to send alt-f2
I normally use the java console, but it is not working on my current workstation. I have to use the html5 console. I'm kickstarting some Gen10 servers and coming up with an error in durking the kickstart. I want to enter Alt-F2 to open the alternate console and check out some things, but cannot figure out how to do that. Any suggestions?

Re: html5 console how to send alt-f2
Hello,
Please review the iLO 5 User guide, page 178 section "Keys for configuring remote console computer lock keys and hot keys" and see if that helps.
Regards,

Re: html5 console how to send alt-f2
Thanks! Unfortunately it is not a good situation for several reasons:
- About all of the control key combinations conflict with browser control key combinations.
- This is the biggest one. You have to log into each and every iLO in order to make this setting. This would be much more acceptable if this was configurable through a OneView server profile template.
- Is it not possible to have a key combination menu similar to the one in the java console window?
I do thank you for finding that for me!

Re: html5 console how to send alt-f2
Hi BradV,
Good day!
You may try the Commands for setting this :
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00018323en_us
Refer Page Nm 147.
This may ease the task.
Thank you

Re: html5 console how to send alt-f2
Thanks, that is good to know. However, I checked and firefox already has all of those Ctrl+key combinations defined:
Ctrl+T new tab
Ctrl+U page source
Ctrl+V paste
Ctrl+W close tab
Ctrl+X cut
Ctrl+Y Redo
So, having any of those defined in iLO is not going to work. I guess I'll have to look at chrome.
# Chrome key combinations
Ctrl+T new tab
Ctrl+U display non-editable HTML source code
Ctrl+W close tab
So, chrome at least looks a little more promissing.

Re: html5 console how to send alt-f2
I was able to get it working using the remote console "keyboard" icon along with F2 on my keyboard.
- Click on the keyboard icon in the left of the console window
- Press and hold ( important part, hold left mouse down) on the "L alt" button.
- While still holding left mouse down , press F2 on your keyboard.
Ta-daaaa!
