Account Login

Hi, when i start the System Managemente Home Page, this is what i see:
The system was installed without configuring the passwords for the Administrator, Operator, or User accounts. An administrator password is required to be set in order for HP web-enabled software to function correctly.

From where i can get the Configuration Tool?

Re: Account Login

How did you install System Management Homepage? If it is via PSP install, then you should open the remote deployment utility and then select the System Management Homepage component. There will be a configure icon in the left side of the window. Right click and select "Configure".
see the attachment.
After configuring the component, install it again.

Option 2:
If you have another server where system management homepage is installed and you know the login information of that server,
then copy the c:\compaq\wbem\CPQHMMD.ACL file from that server to the machine where you have login problems. Then restart the webagent.

Option 3:
There is a new System Management Homepage, that is more secure and uses OS authentication. You can download it from

Re: Account Login

If you have problem with configuring this agent you can rename file c:\compaq\wbem\CPQHMMD.ACL
and reinstall webagent only (for w2k/w2k3 it's cp004188.exe) - during setup you can provide new passwords.

Andrzej

Re: Account Login

Thanks.

I replace the .acl file, then restart the web agent service and all its working great.
