Any document that outlines installing sim 7.0 on top of sim 6.3

Any document that outlines this procedure on installing sim 7.0 on existing 6.3. Do i have to uninstall and re0install everything. We have sim 6.3 and our database is on an external sql cluster . I wanted to see this as painless as possible. Was hoping that there is a document that outlines this procedure. Thanks

Check out http://hp.com/go/hpsim and hit the Information Library for the Install Guide, covers it in there.

 

I ran through an upgrade from 6.3u1 without issue, so nothing really has changed in that regard providing you meet the minimums for 7.0. Should note I also had IRSA A.05.70 and it appeared to be fine as well.

 

I always guage upgrades according to the criticality of my CMS, take the extra steps to back up your CMS (white paper is in the library as well) and DB just to cover your back side, besides just a good practice. I expect though if you have a straight ahead SIM install it'll go smoothly.
