When I configure a new Automatic Event Handling with email notification I receive this error :
"Sending failed; Could not connect to SMTP host: 172.27.100.22, port: 25; java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: connect"
I change the ip address with the name of the server but result is the same, if anybody have idea ?

Re: Automatic Event Handling Error
Try telneting to the server to port 25.
TELNET 172.27.100.22 25
You should be able to issue a HELO command. If not, check that your SMTP server/service is up and running.
BTW - Do you have to go through a firewall to get to the SMTP server? Is port 25 traffic blocked?

Re: Automatic Event Handling Error
Thanks, for the McAfee solution... I change policy for VirusScan 8.0i and all it's ok.
