backup and restore datas from sim 4.2

Hello,
we use sim 4.2 on SLES 9.

I want move the sim installation on another host.
I will install sim 4.2 new an export the original datas from the old host to the new.
It exist only an document for sim 5.1:Backing up and restoring HP SIM 5.1 data files in an HP-UX or Linux environment (pdf).

Is this the same procedure as 4.2 ???

As step 2 I want upgrade the sim to 5.1.
Is this an Problem???
