Can you configure a System Homepage Template ?
When users first login to Insight Manager they are shown a page which allows them to customise their homepage.
Is it possible to have a homepage template, so that when i set a new user up, i can assign the template and when they login they all get the same homepage ? (i.e. configured to what i want them to see!)
I'm currently using HP Systems Insight Manager 4.2 on windows 2003 platform.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Can you configure a System Homepage Template ?
Steve,
In HPSIM 4.1 I was given the following advice:
mxuser -lf > c:\user.xml
(this wil create a file of all your user configurations. Copy and paste within the xml file, ie copy the details of a user to replicate throughout, then paste against each user)
mxuser -m -f c:\user.xml
(this will enforce the changes you've made above)
I hope this makes sense, in the end I didn't use this method, and did a 1-1 on each user, so they very much got the same setting, cause I didn't have time to test when I got the answer.

Re: Can you configure a System Homepage Template ?
Thanks very much - i've just done that mxuser command that you said - copied a correct user and pasted it for a new user - doen the -f switch - and it worked a straight away.
Cheers
Steve
