Cannot get 5.3 clean install to complete 100%

I know it's early yet...but thought I would play around with the new version on a clean imaged server (DL380 G5). I tried both Windows 2008 and Windows 2003 (again, both clean installs) and I get this error each time (and attached as BMP also):

"Unable to install service necessary to manage products that integrate with HP System Insight Manager. This installation may have future problems managing these updates. Contact your support representative for more information".

This error occurs when it is trying to install the "Remote Support Software Installation Option". It runs for a few minutes and everything looks like it is working, and then this pops up. Then you see NO packages available in the "Remote Support Software Manager User Interface" tool and HP SIM does not show the "Remote Support Configuration and Services" menu item under "Options" (after rebooting and all that).

I uninstall the Remote Support Software Installation Option tool and manually reinstall and the second time it works. All packages download and install. However, "Remote Support Configuration and Services" in SIM is still missing.

It did this exact same thing on both Windows 2003 and then Windows 2008.

The only thing I did out of the norm with the install is skip the SSH install (we never could get it to work and we do not want in on any SIM installs).

Anyone else get this error?

The new version Remote Support Pack hasn't gotten posted yet. It must be downloading old versions that can't be installed. Try again Monday, 26 Jan, the date when these will be posted.

You must hate us "early birds" - causing all this trouble :)

So I built another brand new system and installed SIM 5.3. This time I get no error during the Remote Support Software installation (it completes 100% successful). I asked it to do a manual download option. However, when I go into the tool I see no packages available. I have tested connectivity and that is successful. I tried using the "Check for package updates" button, it completes, but still no packages to download.

In SIM, I do not see the "Remote Support Configuration and Services" option.

Does anyone know what specific package is required for the SIM integration (warranty information) and if it is possible to just download it manually and install it myself. I don't want or need any of the stuff that is (normally) available in the list of packages and I don't even know what most it does anyways...I just want the warranty information in SIM.

I'm having this same problem, there are no packages available for download & installation.

I'm guessing it just hasn't been added yet, but if SIM 5.3 is out and available to the public now, you'd think all the basic features would be working.

Remote Support Pack 5.2 is delayed and not yet available for new 5.3 SIM installations. Should be available a short time after SIM 5.3 was released.
