Cannot open the main Insight Manager web page

Hi all,

After installing IM 4.2 on a Win2K Server, i try to open the main page (login.jsp) but the web browser serach without finding it and i'vr got nothing at all.

Why ? What can I do ?

Try going to the server and run the desktop icon for Systems Insight Manager, it will check to make sure the web server is running properly, then launch the login screen.

Could be the version of Java you are running.

You can also try removing all java through add remove programs and let it re-install the the java client again.

That answer is ok. I've uninstalled the java and let HP IM 4.2 installing his own and now, it works.

I have had various problems with like this that were all Java version related. The older Java does not work with HPSIM and the newer Java does not work well with Cisco Works.
