Clear vca settings
Hi!
I used our resposity manager server to update all software on a newly installed server. The server will be on a site, where no respository manager will be available. I would also not like the customer to see the name of our server.
Is there any way to clear the settings of the version control agent? The version is 2.1.2.740.
Thanks!!

Re: Clear vca settings
You should be able to go through the VCA options and "clear" them or at least change the repository server name to something else.
However, if this server is not going to be using VCA then you may want to uninstall it or perhaps go to the service control manager and set it to not start up.
The problem is that an unconfigured VCA or one that cannot "reach" the VCRM that it is configured for will spend time trying to connect to it every time the System Management Homepage comes up. This can cause delays in the SMH as it waits for the VCA to timeout. It would be best to not have it active if it is not going to be in a working VC environment.
