SIM and Servicedesk integration
Is there the possibility to integrate SIM and Service Desk to make incident generation by SIM events?

Re: SIM and Servicedesk integration
Sure. We integrated our Tivoli environment with Service Desk via custom scripts. It all depends on how your Service Desk side is set up. In our case, CA consultants created fragment files to recognize the variables I would be passing to Service Desk. I wrote a TEC script that extracted event variables from the environment, then stuffed them into a Service Desk incident form using CA's pdm_extract and bop_cmd commands. All using WSH and vbs.
I was able to use a derivative of that script to stuff HP SIM events into TEC, so the same principles apply--you have quite a few variables accessible through HP SIM.
I'll be glad to talk with you more if you like?

Re: SIM and Servicedesk integration
There is a whitepaper, "Integrating HP OpenView Service Desk and HP Systems Manager" available from http:/www.hp.com/systems/manage --> Insight Integration Modules --> OpenView
...although actually the link to the whitepaper is broken at the moment. Check back next week.

Re: SIM and Servicedesk integration
Oops, I assumed CA Service Desk help desk. Sorry...
