CMS and TASK Information

I've seen from the forums and with my own install of HPSIM that task lists can get out of hand, and the retrieval of task information is impossible. I now have nearly 4000 tasks and it can take me a day to get information on a specific task especially if I'm trying to isolate a problem.

I've tried the usual config file amendements to limit the amount of tasks kept but this seems inaffective. Does anyone know how to get to the task information or clear the table down via sql2000, this is what my HPSIM install is running with.
