CommandView 8 and HPSIM not working too well
I've changed the credentials to use the local account and things work - kind of.
The initial data discovery will work and I've successfully collected data for the EVA into HPSIM.
But subsequent data collections always fail.
We then seem to end up with some database locking on the HPSIM database.
Kill a couple of processes, data collections work and it all starts again.
HPSIM is latest version C.05.02.02.00
Anyone else using CV 8?

Re: CommandView 8 and HPSIM not working too well
In sim we have an entry for our EVA system itself and also an entry for the management server (win2003). The Entry for the SAN is worthless as far as I can tell. If anything happens to the SAN (which it hasnt, but I test by pulling plugs) I get a message from SIM that lists the Management Server as the system that is issuing warnings or errors, not the SAN itself...
We are on SIM 5.1sp1 (but im upgrading to 5.2sp2 today)

Re: CommandView 8 and HPSIM not working too well
It also seems to have come right. I think there was some kind of database issue and there was some locking during the data collection runs. A few reboots etc. later and it's all settled down.
