Communication with the server has been lost

When can I login to HPSIM 4.1 but when I try to do anything I get Communication with the server has been lost please close this browser.
I get this on the server itself. I have noticed that sometimes when I try to launch HPSIM I get a checking for HTTP server status box that comes up and sits for a while.

ANY help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Communication with the server has been lost

Seems you may have some kind of network or performance issues.
You generally need to completely close the browser if connection has been lost.

I'm intrigued you get this on the Server itself. Check that the Insight Manager Service itself has not stopped.
What kind of box / OS is HPSIM installed on.

Re: Communication with the server has been lost

Rob,
The HPSIM service is running. It is on a HPDL380G3 windows 2k. The network is fine I can PC anywhere into it and the connection is never dropped. It is the web server on the HPSIM box.

Re: Communication with the server has been lost

HPSIM doesn't need a Web Server, it is its own listener. It listens on the https port of 50000.

What happens if you browse to this from a remote Workstation?
You should be able to browse to something like:
https://hpsimserver:50000
You should then be able to logon. Note on a new workstation you will need to go through the JRE Install.
