Re: Could not connect to SMTP host
I am getting the same error message. I see you posted this a while ago, with no response. I wish I could help, but I am in same boat.

Re: Could not connect to SMTP host
My guess is that your e-mail server has been set up to not accept smtp requests from all servers.
Another possibility is there's a firewall or some device stopping smtp traffic from the SIM Server to the SMTP Server.
This assumes you have set up SMTP Server details in SIM.
You can try telnetting to the SMTP Server on Port 25. You should get a response from your SMTP Server, typing "helo" should initiate some form of response.

Re: Could not connect to SMTP host
Were getting exactly the same error.
However, we can telnet from our HP SIM server directly onto our SMTP mail server. They are both on the same network, and there are no firewalls between them.
Anyone have any ideas?
thanks
