create an event like in CIM7 and use it for an notification Task.

Is it possible to create an event like in CIM7 with things i want to watch, and put this event in an notification Task. And i only get a notification when something fits to this event? not fount this yet, anybody can help?

go to OPTIONS > EVENTS > AUTOMATIC EVENT HANDLING and generate a new management task.

Hi, thats okay, but not what i´m meaning. In CIM7 it was possible to create an event like "Backup Exec" put all thing from Backup Exec inside and the use this event for a notification task. You only get messages that fits to this event then.

In System In.... 4.1 now its only possible to choice "any, critical and so on". Thats okay but it like to have specified events. Anyone knows how to create them.

Hi,
that not what i´m meaning. I know i can choose the system that all okay. waht in need is. I like to create an event in this event i like to put all thinks i like to observe from the backup managment. Then i put it in a notification task. Now when something happens to the Backup event i create and fits i get an error message through my notification task.
You said its under system but there i cant create an event like these.
In CIM 7 it was possible to create an event like this, isn´t it possible anymore.

in customize choose event list and make a new one. after this you can connect this list to an notification task.
