Data collection on RedHat 3.0 system
I just installed SIM 4.2 today. It's running on a Proliant DL380 G3.
I have a mixed network consisting of Windows servers and RedHat servers. All but two of the RedHat servers are Proliant DL380 G3s, and the remaining two are Proliant DL380 G2s.
Here's my question... I've gotten SIM to add several of the RedHat server, but it doesn't seem to be able to collect any of the data it collected from a Windows machine, such as system type, product name, OS name, etc.
When I try to kick off Data Collection manually for one of the RedHat server, this is what I get:
The device does not have any supported instrumentation.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this just how it works with Linux servers?
