PMP 3.1 - Three servers with question marks
I am evaluating Performance Management Pack 3.1 against a few servers. Currently, three of them have question marks in the "PF" column. One of these (which happense to be the CMS) reports "An internal logic error has occurred" under Analysis Explanation on the Online Analys page. The other two have not collected a sample since their automatic reboot at 3 am.
Can anyone give me any idea what the problems might be?
Thanks,
- Steve

Re: PMP 3.1 - Three servers with question marks
Question marks indicate the server is not licensed or not able to be licensed.
What is reported in the PMP Configuration screen?
Check the status of the PMP Service.
From the Config Screen try disabing all monitoring for the affected server and re-enabling.
Or, you could try stopping all monitoring and restarting the PMP Service.
I've still got a Server I cannot get Monitoring started, it just shows a critical red alert and I've checked and restarted just about everything!

Re: PMP 3.1 - Three servers with question marks
Thanks for the reply. PMP is fun, isn't it?
I had already tried most of what you suggested. The configuration and licensing screens showed what I expected, and I stopped and restarting monitoring on the effected servers.
I just restarted the PMP service itself, and now of course everything is working... the question is how long it will stay that way. I guess I will wait and see.

Re: PMP 3.1 - Three servers with question marks
Once the Bi-Weekly Task had run it appeared as soon as I redid the Update Server List. No idea what the connection is there.
It's that Server that will not go past the Red Alert.
Just rebooted the HPSIM Server box as a last desperate measure and it's still the same.

Re: PMP 3.1 - Three servers with question marks
If PMP is going to lose its ability to monitor these servers when they reboot, it won't be of any use.
Any thoughts out there?
Thanks,
- Steve
